Hello

Overview

We would like to invite you to take part in a project that is looking at men who are transitioning to fatherhood for the first time. The project is looking at what challenged first time fathers face and what factors help to promote adjustment to the new role of fatherhood. It will expand current understanding of how the challenges and sources of support change throughout the transition to, and during the 10 months after first-time fatherhood.

Each father will be given the chance to share and reflect on his experience of transitioning to parenthood for the very first time. This offers a unique opportunity to explore your own feelings, joys and challenges during this exciting time. We also hope that the results of this research will help support other fathers in the future. Including providing a clear idea of what is important to fathers, and how best to support them and their families. You are free to decide whether or not you want to participate in this study and can withdraw from the study at any time. Any information you provide to the researcher will be confidential.
